Lottery Sambad

Few states in India organize and allow lotteries for their citizens. It all started with Kerala, a state that has its lottery running since 1967 and has been incredibly well. In the previous fiscal year itself, the state collected GST worth ₹908 crore and state revenue of ₹1691 crore.

Naturally, such a success spawned other states to organize a lottery of their own. After Kerala Lotteries, Sambad Lottery is one of the biggest lotteries in India. Hundreds of thousands of people participate in the lottery and take their chance at winning life-changing prizes.

Though the Lottery Sambad is on par with other Indian Lotteries when it comes to popularity and participation, it’s unique organization makes it a step apart from others. This is because, unlike other lotteries in India, the Lottery Sambad is played across multiple Indian states; three to be precise. The Sambad Lottery is actually made up of three different lotteries that are held every single day. Draws are held three times per day, every day in the following states at the following times:

  • Morning 11:55 am – Sikkim
  • Afternoon 4:00 pm – West Bengal
  • Evening 8:00 pm – Nagaland

Sikkim State Lotteries: Morning Sambad Games

Out of the three lotteries, the morning draws are held in Sikkim. Thus, the morning Sambad tickets come with “Sikkim State Lotteries” printed on top. The Sikkim State Lotteries themselves have been divided into seven different lotteries, one each for a day of the week. These lotteries are largely the same in structure. The morning Sambad lotteries are the most popular ones among players.

How to Participate in Lottery Sambad?

Lottery Sambad is mainly organized in three states: Sikkim, West Bengal, and Nagaland. However, tickets can be bought in any of the following states:

  • Arunachal Pradesh
  • Assam
  • Goa
  • Kerala
  • Madhya Pradesh
  • Maharashtra
  • Manipur
  • Meghalaya
  • Mizoram
  • Nagaland
  • Punjab
  • Sikkim
  • West Bengal

You can only participate in these 13 states because only they have legally allowed lotteries in their territories. If you’re eligible, then you’ll need a ticket to get your name into the draw. Though tickets are sold by local retailers, brokers, ticket bookers, game dealers, and even online, it’s best to buy from authorized dealers. They have a near-to-no chance of duping you and running away with your money. Keep these precautions in mind while buying your Sambad Lottery ticket:

  • Be proactive – Always buy a lottery ticket well before its draw date. As the draw date closes in, dealer outlets often get extremely crowded to the point that you may not get a chance to register your ticket.
  • Be accurate – You’ll need to provide your personal details while buying the lottery ticket. Make sure to provide all the details (name, email, phone number, and bank account number) accurately.
  • Check ticket – Check the ticket for all authentication marks. Also, make sure that you’re buying the ticket for the oncoming lottery. Old and new tickets look very similar.
  • Keep the ticket safe – Keep your ticket safe from both other people and damage.

How to Check Lottery Sambad Results?

All Sambad Lottery results go live on the official website immediately after they’re drawn. You can either refer to the official website or check our page. This page will regularly update all Sambad Lottery results as soon as they’re announced. Simply bookmark it and refer to it whenever you need it.

Some states even stream the draw process live on YouTube so you can watch the results unfold in front of you. Alternatively, Lottery Sambad results are also published in the Government Gazettes. People who don’t have access to the internet can refer to these gazettes to check the results.

While checking the results, make sure to tally each and every number. Do not rush through the secondary prize tiers after you don’t win the first or second prize. Even the smaller prizes can be a boon and help you recover your money spent on lottery tickets.

How to Claim Lottery Sambad Prize?

If your ticket number has won the lottery, congratulations. All you need to do now is to claim the prize. To do so, you’ll have to download and print out the claim form available on the official Sambad Lottery website. Provide all the details required on the form. Keep the following information handy: lottery number, draw number, draw date, ticket number, your name, address, father’s/husband’s name, prize rank, winning amount, winning amount in words, PAN number, contact number, bank account number, IFSC Code of bank, bank name, and branch name.

Write your name, address, and signature on the back of the lottery ticket. This is mandatory to claim the prize. Then paste a revenue stamp on the form, sign on the stamp, include your passport-sized attested photographs, a cancel cheque,  affidavit, and ticket and post the form for the claim. The address is provided on the claim form itself. Ensure to the best of your ability that the ticket is not tampered, defaced, or mutilated. Such tickets will not be entertained by the concerned body.

Once done, all you can do is wait for the claim to be approved. You can do one other thing while you wait, though — celebrate.
